Commissioned research
We conduct unique and forward-looking original research to generate insights, inform action, and catalyze systemic change. We share findings through reports, videos, interactive digital media, and academic publications.
Applied research
We draw on a tool kit of research methods—including economic modeling, surveys, expert interviews, focus groups, ethnographies, data science, UX/UI, design, and industry/business approaches—to support our other core services.
Targeted communications and thought leadership
Working closely with partners’ communication teams, we design and execute strategic communication campaigns to demonstrate the scale, depth, and impact of grant programs, position partners as thought leaders, and drive uptake and replication of impactful approaches to accelerating socioeconomic and environmental progress. Projects like Platform Livelihoods, Global Development Assistance, and Mastercard Strive EU use novel techniques to share outputs internally and externally, including scrollytelling, participatory video, video case studies, documentaries, chatbots, social media, and immersive worlds.
