Mastercard Strive Partnership
Since 2021, Caribou has worked with Mastercard’s social impact arm, the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth (CFIG), to bring multiple Mastercard Strive initiatives to life by providing end-to-end fund strategy, design and management, measurement and impact, advisory, and communications services.
This Funds & Programs partnership includes Mastercard Strive; a portfolio of philanthropic programs to bolster the growth and financial resilience of micro-entrepreneurs and small businesses around the world, enabling them to thrive in an increasingly digital economy. Through a combination of innovation funds and co-created partnerships, Caribou has sourced and implemented more than 45 initiatives in countries across Latin America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific.
The partnership also includes Mastercard Strive EU, a program that aims to boost the resilience and growth of Europe’s small business community by supporting innovations that enable small businesses across the EU to get capital, go digital, and access networks and know-how. The program consists of a €4.5-million Innovation fund to navigate Europe’s twin transitions to a more digital and sustainable economy, cross-pollination of best practices across Europe’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, and efforts to better represent the needs of small businesses within the European Union.
