This article explains how space technology is helping fight dengue fever in Southeast Asia via D-MOSS, a forecasting system that uses satellite data and climate models to predict dengue outbreaks months in advance. Developed in the UK and now used in Vietnam—with pilots in Malaysia and Sri Lanka—D-MOSS helps health officials act early to prevent or reduce outbreaks. The project shows how Earth Observation data can turn space technology into practical tools for public health.
