This article describes qualitative research with women engaged in platform livelihoods, their experiences, and the obstacles they face. It includes a brief overview of Caribou’s landscape study of women and platform livelihoods, explores the three key tensions identified in this research work, and analyzes those tensions through a Gender at Work framework.
