GDA Midterm Evaluation Webinar
With the support of
Satellite Earth Observation (EO) can be a powerful tool in international development but is often underutilized. Global Development Assistance (GDA) is a global partnership to mainstream the use of satellite EO in development operations. Through GDA, the European Space Agency (ESA) partners with European service providers to facilitate the development of EO products for use by decision-makers in international financial institutions.
As part of GDA’s Monitoring & Evaluation and Impact Assessment activity, in September 2024 Caribou Space published a Midterm Evaluation. This webinar, held on December 4, 2024, covered the main progress made at the midpoint of GDA and discussed recommendations for how to further mainstream the use of EO with international financial institutions.
This webinar featured Christoph Aubrecht (GDA Programme Coordinator), Alex Chunet (ESA), Fabio Cian (ESA Representative at the World Bank), and Yves Barthelemy (ESA Representative at the Asian Development Bank) and was hosted by Giulia Costella (Caribou Space). It was held on December 4, 2024, and was hosted by Imperative Space and Caribou Space as part of the GDA Monitoring & Evaluation activity.
