Caribou’s work on the Mastercard Strive EU program aims to enhance the resilience and growth of European small businesses by identifying innovations that help them get capital, go digital, and access networks and know-how. This is achieved primarily through an innovation funding model that awards grants to EU startups and scaleups who are developing digital innovations in cybersecurity, sustainability/ESG, AI, and embedded finance. These solutions are designed with micro- and small businesses in mind.
In response to the European Commission’s European Innovation Act consultation, Caribou sets out practical ways to strengthen Europe’s innovation environment. We focus on three priorities: easier access to finance, proportionate and clearer regulation, and a more connected EU-wide ecosystem for scaling solutions.
