This report is a companion to the interactive Digital Finance Evidence Gap Map (EGM). “Paving the impact pathway” attempts to lay the foundation to understand and accumulate impact evidence on the effects of Digital Finance on low-income clients.
The report describes the context, methods, and detailed findings of the literature review used to develop the Digital Financial Services Evidence Gap Map (EGM). This report corresponds to version 1.0 of the Digital Finance EGM launched in November 2017. We concluded the literature review for this version in May 2017. We are aware that some relevant Digital Finance impact studies have been released recently, in addition to several studies that are in progress. These will be added in subsequent versions of the Digital Finance EGM.
