With the support of
The Earth Observation for Sustainable Development Forestry Management (EO4SD FM) project, financed by the European Space Agency, has been supporting the Taï National Park Area Emission Reductions Payment Project, established by Côte d’Ivoire and coordinated by the World Bank, as part of country’s REDD+ strategy.
This StoryMap outlines the ways the EO4SD Forest consortium has supported the program in its efforts to monitor deforestation and forest degradation for the implementation of the National Monitoring System. Particular attention is paid to the Near Real Time Canopy Disturbance product, a derived-EO-data tool that offers an unprecedented overview of the forest landscape.
