The ESA Global Development Assistance (GDA) Urban Sustainability activity is supporting the Asian Development Bank’s efforts to make Sargodha, Pakistan, a more liveable and more climate-resilient city.
Working with local and national authorities, GDA used satellite Earth Observation (EO) to map green spaces, measure heat islands, and guide investment decisions—key steps in transforming urban environments from grey to green. By harnessing EO data, Sargodha is prioritizing nature-based solutions where they’re needed most.
