Digital identification is becoming an increasingly foundational part of digital government, economy, and society. These systems are commonly developed to meet institutional needs without consideration or involvement of individual interests.
The Good ID program sought to develop identification systems, technologies, and programs that are good for government, business, and society. Caribou led a global series of workshops and public engagement around the idea of “Good ID.” Emrys Schoemaker led strategy and ran workshops in the United States, Africa, and Southeast Asia, partnering with leading universities, governments, and stakeholders from the public and private sectors.
