Global Development Assistance: Transport and Infrastructure

With the support of

Globally interconnected economies, increasing urbanization, population growth, technological progress, and climate change are all impacting transportation and logistics. New or adapted solutions are required to tackle these challenges.

The European Space Agency’s Global Development Assistance: Transport and Infrastructure aims to mainstream the use of satellite Earth Observation (EO). The consortium, created in partnership with the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, and governments in ~15 countries, focused on topics such as planning an construction, infrastructure quality assessment, mobility patterns and road safety, and climate resilience.

Caribou supports user requirements gathering—understanding and communicating the ways EO can inform programs and decision-making related to transportation and infrastructure—and leads on the communication of the wider consortium’s activities through brochures, flyers, blogs, social media, videos, and interactive communications tools.
