Shirley brings deep expertise at the intersection of entrepreneurship, ecosystem development, and experiential learning. She specializes in designing programs, partnerships, and real-world experiences that help founders, corporates, and development organizations think strategically, scale effectively, and operate with purpose.
At Caribou, Shirley contributes to the design and delivery of in-market learning experiences that help leadership teams translate insight into action. She works closely with clients to shape immersive programs that are grounded, relevant, and locally informed.
Shirley has led venture building initiatives, supported high-growth startups, and advised governments and global development organizations across Africa, the UK, and beyond. She helped launch Barclays RISE in Africa, established the UK–South Africa Tech Hub, and served as the Africa-based Dealmaker for the UK’s Global Entrepreneur Programme. She co-founded Nyati-x, leads Stockbox, a digital asset platform, and sits on the Board of several entrepreneurial and youth-focused Foundations. She is an angel investor and a mentor to start-up founders. Shirley holds a distinction-level MBA from Leeds University Business School and is based in South Africa.
