Bio
Lisa is an experienced innovation fund and program leader who helps early-stage enterprises turn promising solutions into sustainable businesses that improve lives and address environmental challenges. She brings deep expertise in portfolio strategy, inclusive funding, entrepreneur support, and building partnerships between businesses, governments, funders, and early-stage enterprises.
Lisa is a Associate Director in Caribou’s Funds & Programs team, where she manages global innovation funds and digital impact programs spanning small business resilience, climate, and technology-enabled development. She combines strategic direction with hands-on fund and portfolio management, and advises clients and grantees through complex delivery decisions and pathways to scale.
Before joining Caribou, Lisa led TRANSFORM, an £88-million partnership that supported more than 100 early-stage entrepreneurs and reached 21 million people across Africa and Asia. Working at the intersection of commercial priorities and social impact, she helped enterprises integrate into corporate value chains and build partnerships that created value for businesses and communities. She founded and shaped the partnership, secured its initial £10-million commitment, and developed locally led selection approaches that allocated £3 million to 20 entrepreneurs across ten countries. Earlier in her career at Unilever, Lisa worked across research and development, marketing, and supply chain, gaining a deep understanding of the fast-moving consumer goods sector. Lisa holds a master’s degree in chemical biology from the University of Warwick. She is based in the United Kingdom.
I love the challenge of working across sectors, cultures and disciplines to align diverse perspectives around a common goal. Innovation happens when partners bring different strengths to the table, and some of the most meaningful progress comes from turning that collective energy into positive change for people and communities.
