Dean specializes in optimizing SaaS platforms, leading secure onboarding and access management, and driving cost-efficient IT practices that enable Caribou’s teams to work effectively from anywhere. He supports Caribou’s systems, IT operations, and security foundations, ensuring that our tools, processes, and infrastructure run smoothly and securely across the organization.
Dean serves as Caribou’s IT Systems & Operations Manager, where he oversees the administration of core platforms including Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and Notion. He leads the development of IT policies, manages vendor relationships, and strengthens Caribou’s compliance with a focus on cybersecurity, data governance, and resilience.
Prior to joining Caribou, Dean held IT management roles in the retail, managed services, and health & fitness sectors. He has led infrastructure and security initiatives, managed large IT budgets, and delivered operational improvements across a wide range of business-critical systems. His ability to bridge technical and operational needs has made him a trusted advisor in previous roles. Dean is currently completing certifications in Cybersecurity and AI governance and is based in South Africa.
