Bio

David supports clients to utilize digital tools, including satellite Earth Observation, to address global issues including climate resilience, typically working with governments, space agencies, development agencies, and private companies. David utilizes a range of experience within multimillion-dollar programs, including fund management, program management, measurement and impact, research, and communications.

Previously with Caribou, David was a co-founder of the DFS Lab, a US$4-million fund for emerging market financial technology startups. Before Caribou, David was Senior Director at GSMA Mobile for Development supporting the department’s growth from a staff of four to 75-person world‐leading team. David led the following initiatives: Connected Society, GSMA Intelligence, Mobile for Development Intelligence, Mobile for Development Utilities, and Green Power for Mobile. David started his career as a management consultant in the renewable energy division of Accenture. David holds a First-Class Honors BSc in Science and Management from Leeds University and is based in France.

My work passion has focused on applying tools and technologies to address climate resilience challenges, from renewable energy to mobile technology to satellite Earth Observation. Caribou’s Space & Climate work sits at the intersection of that passion.
