Bio
Caitlin is an evaluator with expertise in research, environmental justice, and evidence-based policy. At Caribou, she supports evidence synthesis and measurement and impact across various programs, with an emphasis on women’s economic empowerment.
Caitlin is an associate professor in monitoring and evaluation at the University of the Witwatersrand, where she contributes to strengthening the evidence base around gender equity and building systems for evidence use across programmatic stakeholders. She has worked in both research and evaluation practice, primarily at the intersection of climate and social justice, and is particularly focused on strengthening evidence-informed practice — through evidence generation, evidence synthesis, and institutional design. Caitlin holds a PhD in migration from the University of the Witwatersrand, and her research focuses on understanding localized processes of governance.
